Heart of Wales Line Development Co. appoint new manager

The Heart of Wales Line Development Company Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of Lisa Denison as its new manager.

David Edwards, Chair of the Heart of Wales Line Development Co. said: “We are very pleased to welcome Lisa Denison as our new manager. Lisa has a particularly strong track record in community development and we look forward to her starting work in May.  This is an exciting time for the Heart of Wales Line, with Transport for Wales’ ambitious plans for community rail development already underway, and the new walking trail open for business this spring.”

Lisa Denison lives local to the railway in Carmarthenshire and has spent over 25 years working in the community/social business sector with significant managerial experience in neighbourhood development and regeneration. Lisa said: “This is such an exciting time to be joining the Heart of Wales Line Development Company and to help build on the success of recent projects such as the wonderful  new walking trail. I’m so looking forward to working alongside our many partners, amazing supporters and the new line operator to further develop this unique asset for all the wonderful communities it serves”.

The Heart of Wales Line Development Co. works to promote and develop the railway line for the benefit of people living and working locally, local businesses and of course for visitors. We are proud to be part of Community Rail Wales and Borders, working closely with Transport for Wales, local councils and other associated groups.
