Llanelli Police are appealing to members of the community to come forward with any information regarding a serious assault that took place in the Morfa area at approximately 11:05pm on Wednesday, 26th February.
The incident took place near to Heol Tregoning and a footbridge over the railway line leading to Pen-y-Fan, known locally as ‘black bridge’. A local man was injured as a result of this incident and is currently in hospital receiving treatment. His family are being supported by officers. One 17-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of serious assault.
Temporary Chief Inspector Ross Evans said;
“Officers were in the area at the time of the offence and were able to deal with this incident quickly and effectively. The suspect was located and arrested within a few minutes. I would encourage
anyone with any information to come forward and help us with our enquiries. As usual,
Neighbourhood officers will be on patrol in the Morfa area over the coming days to help support the community”.
