Olly Cracknell stole the show at the end of season dinner on Friday night, collecting both the Coaches’ and Players’ Player of the Year awards.

The big back rower crowned a memorable season that has seen him feature 23 times to date, the most in one campaign in his career, by receiving the ultimate recognition from both his peers and the coaching team at the Region.

On a busy night at the Liberty Stadium, senior, age grade, wheelchair and women’s players were honoured for their performances over the last year, as well as three Ospreys in the Community awards also being handed out.

Fans favourite Dan Evans picked up the supporters award, the second time it has gone to him after his success in 2015, while a new award, voted for online, saw Keelan Giles’ length of the field individual effort against Worcester Warriors in January crowned the Worthington’s Try of the Season.

Among the other awards there is a notable double for Melissa Gnojek, who claimed the Women’s U18s Most Promising Player award for a second consecutive year.

The prestigious Osprey of the Year award went to the longest serving member of staff at the Ospreys, Ceri Pass from the finance team.
