Dragon Access is a rapidly expanding Welsh company, based in Cardiff, who have many years’ experience in the access hire industry. Recent investment now takes their fleet of access platforms to fifteen machines which underlines their commitment to offer their clients the widest range of cherry pickers at a competitively priced cost.

Operating across South Wales and the Bristol region, Dragon Access has successfully bridged the gap between commercial and domestic hire of cherry pickers which means that they will be able to meet everyone’s needs.

The company is keen to showcase the models within their fleet to highlight how straightforward cherry picker hire can be and underline what a difference it has made to the companies and private individuals who have hired their access platforms.

Van-mounted cherry pickers are robust enough to handle industrial and commercial utility work, helping contractors to access hard-to-reach areas without the need for scaffolding. With a 250kg basket capacity their CTE ZED 21,3JH 21m van mounted access platform is ideal for self-drive hire or multi-site operated hire which can provide a very cost-effective hire solution.

If you need a larger cherry picker, Dragon Access’s truck-mounted units include the Ruthmann T330 a 33-metre cherry picker – one of the most popular truck-mounted units in the UK. Available on a 7.5 ton chassis with a massive 21m sideways outreach, the Ruthmann T330 can access locations that larger HGV truck mounts cannot whilst the basket can support a huge 320 kg of people and tools. Dragon Access also supply a qualified driver which means you have an experienced IPAF qualified operator who is familiar with the machine to ensure a hassle-free hire.

While many people think that cherry pickers can only be used on large commercial projects, Dragon Access’s tracked spiderlift access platforms are nimble enough to access paths and gateways less than a metre wide. Once in position, the outriggers expand and self-level the machine to offer the ultimate in stability and minimise disruption. Spider lift MEWP’s are an excellent choice for home improvements or access to high garden trees that require removal or maintenance. Our smallest unit, the CMC S15 can even squeeze through gaps as narrow as 78 cm, yet can lift 200 kg to a working height of 15 metres and a maximum outreach of 7 metres.

The ‘spiderlift’ is a very flexible access solution for both external and internal access solutions as the outriggers mean that it can operate on slopes or soft surfaces and its narrow width and low weight loadings makes it a perfect solution for delicate interior building access for properties such as shopping centres or large office atriums.

Huw Rees, Operations Manager at Dragon Access said “At Dragon Access, we are dedicated to helping our customers find the perfect high-level powered access solution to tackle their varying projects and make work at height both easier and safer. Our competitive rates and wide range of cherry pickers means that there is an option for every requirement and every budget.”

Dragon Access’s cherry pickers have been used in hundreds of projects across the region, including high level canopy cleaning at Cardiff Central Railway Station. “Very impressed with the recent spiderlift we hired from you to clean the glass canopy at Cardiff Central Railway Station – just what we required for the job.” – SE Cleaning ServicesS e r v i c e s
