Llanelli Music Scene Night Saturday Rocks @ The Masons Arms with Tidal Reach, Within War and Fast Fuse.
Llanelli Music Scene were proud to organise the return of Tidal Reach as a headline band to the Masons Arms and the introduction of two great new bands Within War and Fast Fuse !!!
Here’s what Music Scene’s Barry Bungalow had to say about the night…..
Fast fuse are a young bilingual rock band with an impressive stage presence that played easy listening material in both English and Welsh. The 4 piece started off strong, and carried on throughout the rest of the set. Mixing in funky riffs with a blend of heavy rock riffs and a mellow metal – esque sound, it was obvious that the band were playing with feeling, and the solos they played were executed with absolute precision. An amazing use of the effects, that really helped the performance flow. A positive future for this band is a definite.
Fast Fuse
Within War – opened with an original song which they performed amazingly. Following with an iconic Iron Maiden cover, they managed to get an amazing reaction from the crowd, with both guitarists performing the solo by coming off the stage and going amongst the crowd. The metal sound produced by this 4 piece band perfectly set the mood and the overall atmosphere to the pub superbly. Playing their set of original music, instrumental pieces and cover songs went over really well with the crowd. A delight to hear them play, and I am personally looking forward to hearing them again.
Within War
Tidal Reach – opened with a cover of (Black Night) which definitely got heads turning. The genre of their music crossed between a heavy rock and a metal style and the band was an amazing choice to headline the night. The 4 piece played an excellent set of original songs, as well as crowd favourite covers including the Judas Priest tune Breaking the Law which went over really well with the audience. Although it was their first time headlining, at least with Llanelli Music Scene at The Masons, it didn’t seem to phase them one bit, and they played an impressively tight set. Upon finishing their last song, the crowd asked for an encore, in which Tidal Reach accepted and they left the crowd with nothing less than a positive feeling – an excellent choice for a headlining band, and I can’t wait to here how they progress in future performances.
