It was 26th October 2013 when we last saw Alien Stash Tin play Llanelli at the Kazbar and on 26th April 2014 they returned to the venue to perform another show.
Here’s Music Scene’s Barry Bungalow’s views of the night…..
Alien Stash Tin – a very psychedelic metal band that played a range of their own music, as well as playing covers, including – Motorhead – Motorhead. This 4 piece band, consisting of a lead guitarist, a bassist, a drummer and a rhythm guitarist/lead vocalist genuinely rocked the Kazbar (no pun intended) their mix of psychedelic rock and heavy metal went down really well with the crowd. They even played a currently unreleased track off their brand new album for us to enjoy, before leaving the stage for a break.
Upon their return, they did not diminish in their performance one bit, essentially carrying on from where they finished. Their set was awesome, combining a bit of funk and genuinely heavy metal covers, as well as playing music from their own albums, including songs that really mixed genres, with a bit of hard rock, doom metal and even jazz fusion, all of which went down really well. During the rest of their set Alien Stash Tin remained solid, playing in absolute harmony with each other.
A really great band with amazing stage presence who would win over any crowd. An epic performance that deserved a larger reception from a bigger crowd.
