Police in Swansea are appealing for information following a burglary which happened at a house in Broadoak Court, Loughor earlier today.
The incident happened at around 5am when two men knocked on the door of the 71-year-old male victim’s flat. One of the suspects forced his way into the property and stole a handbag containing cash before making off on foot along with the second suspect who remained outside during the incident. They headed in the general direction of Gorseinon.
The suspects are described as being around 5ft 9ins to 6ft in height and wore black or dark coloured clothing.
Police are appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area between 4.45am and 5.45am on Tuesday morning to come forward.
Detective Inspector Mark Kavanagh of Swansea CID said:
“This is a very unusual incident and we are appealing to anyone who may have information about the incident to contact the police.
“The suspects were dressed all in black or dark coloured clothing and left the Broadoak Court and Corporation Road area on foot and headed off in the direction of Gorseinon.”
