Nile Rodgers and CHIC were the highlight of Kendal Calling, according to new research from Ibis Hotels.
The hotel chain analysed Twitter conversation throughout the weekend, and found that 95.6% of tweets shared about Nile Rodgers were positive, making him the most popular headliner of the weekend.
Here are the top 5 most popular performances of the weekend:
1) Nile Rodgers and CHIC – 95.6% positive
2) Doves – 92.7% positive
3) Courteeners – 91.6% positive
4) Manic Street Preachers – 89% positive
5) Idles – 81.4% positive
As well as Kendal Calling, Ibis looked at Y Not Festival, which also took place over this weekend, with Two Door Cinema Club coming out on top as Twitter’s favourite performance of the weekend, with 96.6% positive tweets.

1) Two Door Cinema Club – 96.6% positive
2) Franz Ferdinand – 96% positive
3) Elbow – 94.3% positive
4) Wolf Alice – 78.6% positive
5) You Me At Six – 75% positive
