Drench has found that 5 in 10 couples said they share towels, which means these couples are almost certainly spreading coliform bacteria, a form of faecal bacteria, with each other unknowingly.
Research has found that 90% of bathroom towels are contaminated with coliform bacteria, and 14% of them carry E.Coli!
A quarter of those who share towels started this sharing practice from as early as the first month of their relationship.
Good news is that more than 3 in 10 couples said they would never share a towel no matter how close they are or how long they have been together.
Like toothbrushes, used towels are another personal item that should not be share no matter how close you are with each other.

Who said romance is dead? A whopping 6 in 10 couples leave the door open while they’re in the bathroom – leaving everything for their significant other to see.
Surprisingly, 2 in 10 of those couples did it within the first month of the new relationship.
60% of couples use the toilet when their partner is in the bath or shower
This is another true-test habit to your relationship. We are glad to see that 6 in 10 couples are so at ease with their bathroom routine that they are sharing it with their partner.
