The gym is based in Lakefield Hall, Lakefield Road Llanelli.

With over 50 gymnasts at the academy age ranging from 7 to 16 the club is going from strength to strength. The gym is currently run by volunteer coaches who are all fully qualified in rhythmic gymnastics and some of which were very successful competitive gymnasts themselves.

Many girls such as Laura Halford and Gemma Frizelle who competed in Sydney are part of the academy and now coach some of the Welsh squad.  10 of the Welsh squad gymnasts from Llanelli academy competed in Portugal last November and our 2 youngest members both came home with medals around their necks and places on the podium which was a massive achievement for Wales! Especially as they were only 6 and 7 years old at the time!. The club also teaches ballet which has become a massive success offering lessons to girls from the age of 3 up to 13. Plus our general class which helps little ones on their gymnastics journey.

Head coach Linda Thomas has great plans for the future with competitions abroad such as Gibraltar and Ohio in America early next year.

20 of our gymnasts will be selected to compete at the annual Spring Fling competition in Ohio based on their performances.

To be able to continue on the successful journey the academy has had so far, it is essential that we reach out for sponsorship. All successful sponsors will have their business logo promoted on the girls training gear for competitions and in all of our social media and news paper press.

Sponsoring 1 or more gymnasts is an option but we would like to gain as much sponsorship for the girls as possible to enable them to travel to America and further next year.

If you would like to help sponsor the academy then please get in touch via our Facebook page or at the club directly.
