Pembrokeshire Liberal Democrats have reported that many visitors to Pembrokeshire County Show between 13 and 15 August are concerned about the impact of Brexit on Pembrokeshire and West Wales.

Alistair Cameron, Welsh Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for West Carmarthen and South Pembrokeshire said: “We asked visitors to our stand to answer 5 questions on our Brexitomer about Brexit. A large majority of those who took part in the Brexitometer considered leaving the European Union would be worse for our NHS, would be worse for climate change and were concerned about higher grocery costs in the event of a ‘no deal’. 3 years on from the referendum, a large majority did not want Brexit and, instead, supported a People’s Vote which included the option to remain.”

Tom Hughes, Welsh Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Preseli Pembrokeshire said: “We know that our Brexitometer is not a scientific survey. However, there were a substantial number of people who were very concerned about Brexit and do not want to leave the European Union.

“Welsh Liberal Democrats support a People’s Vote on Brexit which will include the option of Remaining in the EU. We believe remaining within the EU is the best deal for our country.”
