Speciality & Fine Food Fair provides an unrivalled opportunity for independent retailers, delicatessens, chefs, hoteliers, restaurateurs, importers, distributors and wholesalers to source, network and get up to date with the latest trends.

Commenting ahead of the Show Daioni Organic’s Chief Operations Officer, Daniel Jones said,

“We feel that Speciality & Fine Food Fair provides a great showcase for specialist producers offering something unique that draws in a variety of buyers from all sectors.

“Our new coffee range will be the first of its kind in the UK market sourcing both organic and Fairtrade ingredients, containing no added sugar and using bio-screwcaps (derived from sugar cane) to make the packaging as sustainable as possible.”

Commenting further, Asher Flowers of Rogue said,

“I can’t speak highly enough of the opportunity that the Welsh Government has provided us with. Last year we formed part of their Showcase Stand at Speciality & Fine Food Fair. We are still reaping the rewards of it to this day with listings with distributors, supplying to stockists on a national and international level as well as being in negotiations with major multiples.

“Since attending Speciality & Fine Food Fair, Rogue has grown significantly as we’re now SALSA accredited, have rebranded and we supply to the food service sector. Last year’s Fair was our first major trade show and we can’t wait to attend this year.”

Ffion Davies, National Account Manager at South Caernarfon Creameries added,

We know that within the cheese category sector, shoppers and consumers are constantly looking for new products to try. Consumers all like to think they are ‘cheese experts’ and are looking for provenance, heritage and great, tasting quality products.

“At Dragon, we know our consumers are foodies, a little older and a little wealthier and are willing to spend a little bit more for a good quality product. We are all about community and collaboration and this has led to us joining up with like-minded suppliers to produce a range of cheese that really delivers on provenance and flavour.

“Exhibiting at Speciality puts our products directly in front of a high quality audience of food and drink buyers. With the launch of our new ‘handcrafted’ range in June 2019, it’s the perfect opportunity to get the products in front of a top-end audience and buyers of fine foods from around the UK and further.”

The nine companies have been supported by the Welsh Government to attend Speciality & Fine Food Fair within the Cymru/Wales Pavilion. Commenting ahead of the event, the Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs, Lesley Griffiths, said,

“It is fantastic once again to see representation from Wales at this year’s Speciality & Fine Food Fair. It provides a great opportunity to raise the profile and reputation of our industry and is testament to the continued growth we’ve witnessed in the Welsh food and drink sector. It is important Welsh food and drink businesses prepare for the impact of Brexit and we have been supporting their efforts to do this by helping them to gain access to major industry events and showcase their produce on the world stage.

“We understand the challenges and we need to do all we can to give them the assistance and tools to thrive in what is a very competitive industry. This fair will be the perfect opportunity to showcase specialist Welsh produce and help food and drink businesses build relationships in their industry.”

Attending Speciality & Fine Food Fair provides the opportunity to connect with 10,000 industry buyers, meet over 700 producers of suppliers of artisan food and drink, explore 200 new products in the discovery zone, attend 50 knowledge sessions and see all 50 great taste awards finalists displayed under one roof.
