Touring  trio the Liverpool band Triphazard headlined the bill for the Llanelli Music Scene Night at the Masons Arms Llanelli on Saturday 28th June.

The night kicked off  to a good start with 5 piece indie band Inscape.  This young, fresh band who have been together for less than a year performed a great set of original songs including the  performance of  one new song   which they played live for the first time on the night. Inscape delivered their  whole set with an indie vibe, funky twin guitar licks and solos,  with some  heavier contrasting  guitar riffs thrown in .  Inscape’s overall  sound was completed with a great rhythm section courtesy of the bass n drums .

Next up was the four piece band  Polar Nights who are fast making a name for themselves on the South Wales music scene. This progressive rock  band played a tight set of original songs with hints of indie, rock  and some heavy metal guitar riffage in their tunes, exhibiting an eclectic range of influences in their very own unique sound.  The band gelled very  well together as performers and they performed a very polished set.

Headlining the night on the last date of their UK tour  was the female fronted three piece band Triphazard.  The band performed a fantastic bouncy indie rock set . Triphazard really looked like they were enjoying the set and they played with passion producing a lively, energetic and catchy original set that saw vocalist Stef taking on bass duties for some tunes. Triphazard sounded great live and some of their songs (such as Ribcage)  were easily recognisable to me after watching some of their you tube videos just once, thus proving just how positively  infectious  their songs  actually are and also a testimony to their ability to reproduce the quality of their studio recorded songs in their live stage sets  .

Really enjoyable live set from Triphazard.

The next Llanelli Music Scene gig takes place at the Kilkenny Cat Llanelli on Friday 11th July with the Band of the Month event featuring Kable & Navale Cox
