Santa will be making his annual visit to the Llanelli and Mynydd Mawr Railway at Cynheidre on the weekend of 7th and 8th December with train rides for all, a gift for each child and seasonal refreshments. Although there may be a limited number of tickets available on the day it is highly recommended that you pre-book for these very popular trains on the following web link https://www.llanellirailway.co.uk/events-booking Cynheidre is just five miles from Llanelli on the B4309 road.
- Train rides will operate between 10.30am and 3.10pm on each day featuring our Sentinel diesel and specially decorated brake van. All visitors will be offered two train rides
- This will be followed by a trip to Santa’s Grotto with a gift for each child
- Ticket price includes the train rides, a visit to Santa with a gift for each child and a glass of mulled wine for each adult. Other seasonal refreshments will be available
Prices are £9 for adults and children (who receive a gift), and £8 for senior citizens. Infants under 12 months travel free of charge with the option of paying £4 on the day to visit Santa and receive a gift.
The railway is hoping to grow into a major tourist attraction for the Llanelli district and in order to reach our goals we need more volunteer help in all departments including operational, maintenance and restoration, and administration.
