Santa will be making his annual visit to the Llanelli and Mynydd Mawr Railway at Cynheidre on the weekend of 7th and 8th December with train rides for all, a gift for each child and seasonal refreshments.  Although there may be a limited number of tickets available on the day it is highly recommended that you pre-book for these very popular trains on the following web link https://www.llanellirailway.co.uk/events-booking Cynheidre is just five miles from Llanelli on the B4309 road.

  • Train rides will operate between 10.30am and 3.10pm on each day featuring our Sentinel diesel and specially decorated brake van. All visitors will be offered two train rides
  • This will be followed by a trip to Santa’s Grotto with a gift for each child
  • Ticket price includes the train rides, a visit to Santa with a gift for each child and a glass of mulled wine for each adult. Other seasonal refreshments will be available

Prices are £9 for adults and children (who receive a gift), and £8 for senior citizens. Infants under 12 months travel free of charge with the option of paying £4 on the day to visit Santa and receive a gift.

The railway is hoping to grow into a major tourist attraction for the Llanelli district and in order to reach our goals we need more volunteer help in all departments including operational, maintenance and restoration, and administration. If you could spare a few hours for what is a most enjoyable pastime and worthwhile cause do not hesitate to get in touch.  For more information or to volunteer please visit our website at https://www.llanellirailway.co.uk or Facebook page at www.facebook.com/llanellirailway
