• Swansea Sound’s Kev Johns to host night of music and chaos
• Major Swansea fundraiser returns for 3rd year

Action for Children is bringing its Never Mind the Business music quiz and live music event back to Swansea after raising £80,000 since coming to the city in 2017.

This year’s night of live music and chaos will take place on the 18th October at Swansea’s historic Brangwyn Hall and will be hosted by Swansea Sound’s Kev Johns with the main sponsors Douglas Jones Mercer and Towergate Insurance.

The strictly t-shirts and jeans event gives businesses across Swansea and South Wales the chance to put their pop music knowledge to the test and enjoy live music sets while raising money for disadvantaged children and young people supported by Action for Children.

Paul Thorburn, former Welsh rugby international, Douglas Jones Mercer representative and chairman of the Never Mind the Business Swansea committee, said: ‘Never Mind the Business has been a great success raising £80k so far for Action for Children and has benefitted vulnerable children and young people in our communities.

‘It’s a great night of music, fun and dancing made all the better by the genuine difference we make so we need to leave our suits at home and come and really let our hair down for Action for Children.’

Nina Rice, fundraiser for Action for Children in Wales, added: ‘We’re delighted Never Mind the Business Swansea has become a fixture on the city’s busy social calendar and it’s not too late to get involved this year. Companies can still book a table and put their music knowledge to the ultimate test. It’s a wonderful way to raise money for the children and young people we proudly serve in Swansea and across the UK.’
