A group of people from Llanelli have learned vital skills that could make the difference between life and death for their work colleagues.
Supported by Carmarthenshire Communities First, the group took part in the emergency first aid course at Llanelli library.
The training gave them the necessary skills to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work.
The one-day free course covered workplace health and safety regulations and basic life saving first aid, from an unconscious casualty to someone suffering with burns.
Communities First Family Learning Worker, Rhian Richards, said: “People who attend the course now have a desirable qualification, which demonstrate workplace first-aid competence to future employer.”
Communities First is a community focused programme that supports the Welsh Government’s tackling poverty programme. The programme supports the most disadvantaged people in the most deprived areas with the aim of alleviating persistent poverty.
