There’s still time to get help filling in the census rehearsal questionnaire.

Residents of Ceredigion who haven’t yet taken part in the rehearsal and want help from the Office for National Statistics will have the chance to do so at Rheidol Centre on Friday 1 November from 10am until 1pm.

Thousands of residents have successfully completed their census rehearsal questionnaire already. For residents who have not, there is still time to get involved.

The more people who respond now in Ceredigion, the more accurate information the ONS will have to plan for the success of the national event in 2021 which helps inform vital public services such as the number of children’s school places, hospital and GP services and social care provision.

Deputy National Statistician Iain Bell said: “Everyone benefits from the census. It informs decisions nationally and locally on vital services and issues like diversity.

“And it is a massive undertaking. In 2021 we’ll be contacting nearly 30 million households and we’re holding a rehearsal in your area now, to make sure everything is working as it should.”

For people who are unable to attend on Friday, there will be another session at Pontrhydfendigiad pavilion on Saturday 2 November at the Young farmers club county Eisteddfod.

Alternatively, for face-to-face help completing the rehearsal questionnaire online, householders can attend Aberystwyth library between 9.30am and 4.30pm during week days or go to their mobile library service.

There is also help available at the contact centre on 0800 169 2021, online help at census.gov.uk and a text number, 86677.

The Office for National Statistics produces the numbers that matter most– on the economy and business, people, population and communities. Operating impartially and free of political control, we are mobilising the power of data to help Britain make better decisions and improve lives.
