The Scarlets received a warm welcome in glorious summer sunshine at the Royal Welsh Showground yesterday, Tuesday 22nd July.
As part of the region’s Summer of Rugby the Scarlets have been present at the Royal Welsh with the players joining in with a rugby skills session within the Sports Arena.
Supporters, young and old, had the opportunity to meet players at the Scarlets stand, have their autographs and pictures with the region’s stars.
As well as meeting supporters Johan Snyman, Jacobie Adriaanse, Rob McCusker, Wyn Jones and Darran Harris were welcomed to the FUW stand and went on to meet a number of Castell Howell Foods’ suppliers at the Food Hall.
South African born second row Johan Snyman, who was visiting the Royal Welsh Show for the first time, said: “We had a great day at the Royal Welsh. The weather turned out really nice and it reminded me of being home!
“It’s great to have an opportunity to get involved in the training sessions and meet the region’s young supporters. We all had a go at the passing game too which didn’t go so well for the forwards! It’s nice to be able to give something back to the supporters for their dedication throughout the season.”
Scarlets’ Rob McCusker added: “We had a great day at the Show again this year. The sun came was shining and the boys were very happy to be present and to lend a helping hand with the training session. It always helps when the sun’s out!”
