For those of you who haven’t seen newly released Apple TV + show See.

See is written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and directed by Francis Lawrence. This is a show about mankind set hundreds of years into the future, a post-apocalyptic world where all humans are now blind as a result of a deadly virus that left around only two thousand left.

As everyone started to lose sight of everything, they began to prepare their future progeny with everything they needed in the future, to learn new ways how to build and how to fend for themselves. As the years continued on, those who survived began to split off into tribes.

So much time has passed that even the mere thought of being able to see became a myth, and now it has become a heretic to even speak about it, meaning if anyone had the gift of sight, they would be cast out as witches and put to their death.

Starring as Baba Voss, Chief of a tribe, Jason Momoa gives a performance what I see to be the role of his life. Baba Voss who comes by a lost woman who is only a few months pregnant at the time, Maghra played by Hera Hilmar. She is taken in by Baba who is willing to bear the responsibility of being a father to the twins that she carries inside her. Only to find out after that once the children, Kofune and Haniwa are born, they miraculously have the ability to see.

Once word of the sighted children reaches Queen Kane played by Sylvia Hoeks, the Queen sends out her witch-finders to bring the children to her and now the quest for survival begins for Baba and Maghra to keep their family together, no matter what it takes.
