TV Medium Derek Acorah has passed away Psychic and TV medium Derek Acorah has passed away at the age of 69.

His wife, Gwen announced the news by posting on Facebook the following message:

‘Farewell my love! I will miss you forever! I’m devastated to announce that my beloved husband Derek has passed away after a very brief illness. ‘

‘Thank you so much to everybody who has supported me – I can never thank you enough. To the vile couple who hounded him for responses to their ridiculous campaign whilst he was in Intensive Care in a coma, I hope you have the decency to hang your heads in shame.’

‘I have things to deal with now but I won’t forget nor will I forgive what you have done!’

Derek was known for being the resident medium on Living TV’s Most Haunted, a reality TV series. However, he was dismissed from the programme in 2005 over claims of fakery.

Derek also played for Liverpool as goalkeeper and was famously told from beyond the grave by former Liverpool boss Bill Shankly to hang up his gloves and become a medium.

It’s been reported that Derek passed away after falling into a septic coma. He had complained of suffering of flu over Christmas.
