RDP Sir Gâr’s will be hosting a series of evening events around the County to highlight how the funding has been used.
Registered charities, voluntary organisations, town or community councils, social enterprises and not for profit organisations have all benefitted from RDP Sir Gâr’s Rural Community Inclusion and Innovative Communities grants to improve their rural areas.
Both projects were funded through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013 which is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
Rural Community Inclusion offered a package of support that was designed to increase access to basic services and facilities in rural communities, and Innovative Communities* assisted with the development of innovative ideas within the community.
Each event will feature guest speakers from community groups that have been funded, information on the Rural Development Plan and presentations from funding experts including the Community Bureau and West Wales European Centre (WWEC) on subjects such as future funding opportunities.
The events are free and all are welcome to attend:
- Emlyn Arms, Newcastle Emlyn 9th October 7 – 10pm
- Castle Hotel, Llandovery 16th October 7 – 10pm
- Talardd Arms, Llanllwni 23rd October 7 – 10pm
- Hywel Dda Centre, Whitland 30th October 7 – 10pm
- Carmarthen Quins Club 6th November 7 – 10pm
