DIWEDDARIAD Pwysau eithriadol ar ein gwasanaethau y penwythnos hwn / UPDATE on extraordinary pressure on our services |
Er budd diogelwch cleifion, mae Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Hywel Dda wedi cadarnhau bod llawdriniaethau a drefnwyd o flaen llaw ar gyfer heddiw (dydd Mercher 8 Ionawr 2020) wedi’u gohirio yn ysbytai Bronglais, Glangwili, Tywysog Philip a Llwynhelyg. Mae llawdriniaethau brys, llawdriniaethau achos dydd ac apwyntiadau cleifion allanol yn parhau fel arfer.
Mae’r camau hyn yn unol â’n gweithdrefnau uwch-gyfeirio er mwyn helpu llif cleifion a chynnal diogelwch cleifion yn ystod adegau o bwysau enfawr.
Rydym wedi cysylltu â’r cleifion hynny sydd wedi’u heffeithio’n uniongyrchol, felly os na fyddwch yn clywed gennym, gofynnwn i chi fynychu fel y trefnwyd eisoes. Fel arall, peidiwch â chysylltu â’n timau apwyntiadau na’n hadrannau cleifion allanol oni bai bod hynny’n hollol angenrheidiol gan eu bod yn brysur iawn ar hyn o bryd.
Er bod y sefyllfa’n parhau i fod yn heriol, rydym wrthi’n asesu ein cynlluniau gweithredu ar gyfer y diwrnodau nesaf ac, yn unol â’r trefniadau arferol, byddwn yn eu hadolygu bob dydd.
Byddwn yn cyhoeddi diweddariad pan fydd cyfran fawr o’r llawdriniaethau a drefnwyd o flaen llaw yn ail-ddechrau.
Ymddiheurwn am unrhyw anghyfleustra a achoswyd i’r cleifion hynny y mae eu llawdriniaethau wedi’u hohirio neu sydd wedi gorfod aros yn hirach nag arfer ar gyfer llawdriniaeth.
Hywel Dda University Health Board has confirmed that, in the interest of patient safety, planned inpatient operations scheduled for today (Wednesday 8 January 2020) have been postponed at Bronglais, Glangwili, Prince Philip and Withybush hospitals. Emergency surgery, day case procedures and outpatient appointments are continuing as normal. These actions are in line with our escalation procedures to help manage patient flow and maintain patient safety during periods of peak pressure.
We have contacted patients affected directly so please attend as planned if you do not hear from us. Otherwise, please do not contact our appointments or outpatient teams unless absolutely necessary as they are very busy at this time.
Whilst the situation remains challenging, we are currently assessing our operating plans for the days ahead and, as per normal planning arrangements, these will be reviewed on a daily basis.
We will issue an updated statement when a large proportion of planned operations resume.
We apologise for an inconvenience this may cause patients who have had their operations postponed or who have had to wait longer than normal for their procedure.
