Police are investigating an allegation of assault which occurred at approximately 1am on Thursday 18th September in the Avenue, Llwynhendy, Llanelli.
A 68 year old male taxi driver was assaulted by three male passengers. The taxi driver went to hospital for treatment to injuries received.
The males are described as
Male 1- white, in his mid 20’s, of stocky build, strong looking and approximately 5ft 6 in height with short light mousey coloured hair. He was wearing a short sleeved white t shirt and faded denim blue jeans. He spoke with an Irish accent.
Male 2 – white with a tanned complexion. Aged approximately mid to late 20’s with short dark well groomed hair. He was of medium build, fit and strong looking. He was approximately 5ft7-5ft8 in height, with a long thin face. He was wearing a dark coloured waistcoat, a dark blue shirt and blue jeans. He too spoke with an Irish accent.
Male 3 – white, in his early 20’s and of slight build. He was approximately 5ft4-5ft 5 and also had a tanned complexion with short dark hair. He too had a long thin face and had very similar features to male 2.
The three males left the scene taking a right turn off The Avenue, down Erw Las towards the Llanelli/Swansea link Road.
PC Evans said
“This was a nasty incident and a cowardly attack which was very distressing for the victim. I would urge anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could help the investigation is asked to contact Llwynhendy Police on 101 quoting crime reference AZE/442/18/09/2014/01/C.
