A WOMAN has been fined £75 for dumping a black bag at the recycling banks in Talog.
The 57-year-old had dumped her rubbish around the recycling banks.
She was issued with a fixed penalty notice by council environmental enforcement officers. Failure to pay could result in court prosecution and a fine of up to £2,500.
The fine comes following complaints from the local community regarding people fly tipping around the recycling centre.
Executive Board Member for Environmental and Public Protection Cllr Jim Jones said: “These sites are important facilities for communities and only glass, paper, cans and textiles should be taken for recycling, but people are dumping all kinds of rubbish. This will not be tolerated and anyone caught will be prosecuted.”
