Former AM returns to build a brighter future for Llanelli!

Helen Mary Jones has been chosen by Plaid Cymru members in the Llanelli constituency to stand in the seat in the 2016 Assembly elections.

Speaking after her selection, Helen Mary Jones, said:

“I am delighted to have been selected to fight this seat again and I would like to thank Plaid Cymru members in Llanelli for their amazing support. I am keen to represent the people of Llanelli and fight for the real issues that affect their daily lives, we need to build our economy, to fight for jobs and to protect our public services like health and education.

“Alongside my Plaid Cymru colleague Vaughan Williams, I will be putting forward a strong and positive agenda to the people of Llanelli. We know that this isn’t as good as it gets, we know that Llanelli has a proud record of past success that shows us the potential that we have for the future. I am determined to work to harness that potential and build a better future for Llanelli.”

Leanne Wood AM, leader of Plaid Cymru, said:

“Helen Mary Jones has a strong history of standing up for the people of Llanelli and I know that she is determined to continue this work. She has a proven and unquestionable record of fighting for local services and jobs. I’m very pleased she has been chosen by the party in Llanelli.

“I am in no doubt that Helen Mary, and our Llanelli Westminster candidate, Vaughan Williams, will be a hard working team and real champions for the people of Llanelli, reflecting their politics and what matters to them. I hope people will give them the chance to be their strong representatives and advocates.”
