THREE new businesses have recently opened their doors in Carmarthen Market.
Tower Boutique, a ladies clothing and accessories shop has opened in the iconic Clock Tower, Gitar Myrddin offering guitar sales, repairs, pa hire, recording services has opened in one of the shop units outside the market and Angel Whispers which sells spiritual, vintage and unusual gifts has opened inside the market hall.
Angel Whispers opened mid July, offers a wide range of gifts to suit every pocket from £1 upwards. Trader Martin Harrison said: “I used to have a stall on the outdoor markets in Llanelli and Carmarthen so having a stall inside the market seemed like a natural progression. It’s a nice market, right in the centre of town.”
Tower Boutique opened at the end of September and as well as clothing, jewellery and bags, sells oil paintings and seasonal gifts. Trader Chang Jones said: “I’ve always loved this building and when it came up for tender I just went for it. We’ve had quite a few people come in to see what we’re selling and it’s already been quite busy.”
Gitar Myrddin buys and sells guitars, repairs guitars and amps, PA hire, tuition as well as recording services.
The market boasts 65 traders selling a range of goods and handicrafts.
Executive board member responsible for the markets, Cllr Jeff Edmunds, said: “It’s great to see these new businesses opening in the market. I wish them the best of luck and hope people continue to support our market traders.”
A number of events and activities are held at the market on a regular basis throughout the year. Visit www.carmarthenshiremarkets.co.uk for all the latest news, events and stalls
