GAS main works will lead to Nantgwineu Road, Garnant being closed for a day on December 15.
The road will be closed from its junction with Cwmamman Road for 160-metres in a northerly direction to allow Wales & West Utilities to lay a new gas main in the carriageway.
The alternative route for south bound traffic will be to travel in a northerly direction along Nantgwineu Road to its junction with Llandeilo Road. At the junction, turn left and continue in a north-westerly direction along Llandeilo Road to its junction with Heol Felen.
At the junction, turn left and continue in a southerly direction along Heol Felen to its junction with Folland Road and turn left and continue in a south-easterly direction along Folland Road to its junction with Cwmamman Road.
Here drivers should turn left and continue in an easterly direction along Cwmamman Road to return to a point south of the closure. Vice Versa for north bound traffic.
