The COVID-19 situation continues to change rapidly, so I wanted to let you know what we’re doing at B&Q to protect our colleagues and customers, while ensuring we continue to provide you with access to the products you need to maintain your home.

Since we were founded in 1969, we have always had a ‘can-do’ spirit at the heart of everything we do. It’s something that we live by every day. Now more than ever this attitude will be important in helping us all get through the challenges that COVID-19 presents.

Home plays an important role for us all, providing the safety, warmth, and positive environment we need to get on with daily life. This is especially true considering the Government’s advice on social distancing and self-isolation.

At present, our stores and diy.com remain open. We will endeavour to stay open as long as it is safe to do so. The safety of our colleagues and customers is paramount. We are monitoring advice from the Government and the World Health Organisation, and reviewing our plans daily.

  • We are cleaning our stores more frequently, especially areas where physical contact is more likely. Our colleagues are guided by the Government’s guidelines on cleanliness and safety.
  • We are maintaining our long opening hours to give you flexibility of when to shop
  • We’re helping our colleagues keep safe, so they can continue to help you. As part of this we have asked our elderly and more vulnerable colleagues to remain at home with continued pay. We are also paying colleagues who experience any symptoms in their household so that they remain at home too.
  • We’re strengthening our delivery network so we can keep home maintenance and improvement products available nationwide.

Thank you to our colleagues, delivery partners and suppliers for their continued hard work. And thank you to you, our customers, for your continued support.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones – together we can do it.

Graham Bell
CEO
