Dragon Bus
Do you have children between 0 – 10 years? Are you looking for somewhere to go? Come along to the Free Dragon Bus at Penyfan Park car park every Wednesday between 10am – 12pm and 1pm – 3pm. The bus has play activities for children, sand, painting, art and craft, home corner, toys, books, music and signing. Have a cuppa and enjoy yourselves! All children must be with a parent/carer. Everyone welcome.
Over 50s
We are working in partnership with Age Concern and set up a weekly group for over 50’s. The Befriending Circles group will be meeting every Wednesday between 1:30-3pm. Come along for a coffee, cake and company. It is open to the whole of Llanelli.
Debt and Benefit
If you would like advice, or have questions related to benefits, then come and meet Christine and Bryony every Tuesday between 10 – 12. The officers will be able to check that you are receiving the correct benefit and can advise you on other benefits you may be entitled to receive.
Sign Language
The successful sign language course is still running, and the next class is on Thursday the 5th of May between 1pm – 3pm. The class is free and is open to everyone, at all levels. You don’t have to have any previous sign language experience.
All of the above will be taking place at Communities First Bigyn 4 offices, Penyfan Park, Llanelli.
If you would like to get involved with your local Communities First team, come to the Open Partnership meeting on Wednesday the 11th of May at 5.30pm at the Community Christ Church, Trostre Road, Llanelli.
Building Skills
Are you interested in learning a new skill? Coleg Sir Gar have acquired a building in Furnace to be used for construction projects. The 7 week course will start in May and run on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening between 6.00 – 9.00. Courses include Painting & Decorating, Plumbing, Brickwork, Carpentry, Tiling and Plastering.
