Election Views; What are they going to do for Llanelli? – Cheryl Philpott
ĂÂ
Recently we contacted all the parties involved in the current Welsh Assembly election with some questions regarding thier party’s plans for the town. Here is the reply from Cheryl Philpott, Liberal Democrat Party candidate for Llanelli.
ĂÂ
1) What is your party going to do for Llanelli?
The main priorities for the Liberal Democrats are better use of public money, a better education for our children, a better NHS that delivers to the people , a better future for our environmentĂÂ and better politics that puts local people in charge.
2) What are you going to do for Llanelli?
I see Llanelli as a town on the cusp of change heading toward an exciting future in being recognised as a pivotal manufacturing town enhancing not only the local economy but the regional and national economy as well. I would promote Llanelli at the highest level and seek to persuade other politicians and stakeholders that investment in a town that has a highly skilled, flexible, capable and consistent workforce is imperative. Investment builds confidence which has a knock on effect on other small business and retail shops.
3) Where do you like to spend time in Llanelli?
My family and I love to walk along the promenade and look at the beautiful coast, Pembrey country park is always a favourite day out not to mention the wild fowl centre, swimming pool, Parc Howard, coffee in the town centre and shopping generally!
