A kind hearted Llanelli restaurant owner has dished up free meals to frontline ambulance staff in the town as a thank you for their inspiring work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Anwar Ali, owner of the Ali Raj Asian Restaurant in Trinity Place, which is currently operating as a takeaway only, generously donated the cooked food to workers at the end of last week and was helped in delivering it by Llanelli MP, Nia Griffith.
NIA GRIFFITH MP said:
“NHS staff have been absolutely heroic over the last few weeks and this is a very kind gesture by a prominent local business keen to show them how grateful we all are for what they do.”
“Anwar felt that he wanted to put something back into the community at this time, so came up with the idea of providing the ambulance workers with a tasty reward for their efforts. It was an offer that was greatly appreciated and it was good to see different parts of our community coming together in response to the difficulties that we find ourselves in.”
