Fox, looking to build on the success of Gotham have, according Bleeding Cool, greenlit a pilot for a series based on the DC/Vertigo character Lucifer.
The character, modelled on David Bowie, was first seen in Neil Gaimanās Sandman abandoning his role as ruler of hell to head off to pastures new. He then appeared in his own series with Vertigo where we find heās set up shop in LA as owner of the nightclub LUX.
By all accounts the development is going very well. Lucifer is one of my top five favourite comics and if they stick to the story from the series this could be a really cool project. Ā If you havenāt read Lucifer yet I highly recommend checking it out.
