When the teams met at Stebonheath just after Christmas, the Reds recorded a thumping 7-0 win, and in the return at Mount Pleasant Park, they repeated the effort, with Luke Jones getting a hat trick, Anthony Owens weighing in with a brace, while Richard Lewis smashed in a penalty.
With nearest rivals Ammanford going down to a 4-1 defeat at Bridgend Street following a midweek 6-3 loss at the hands of Pontypridd Town, they have now lost three games on the bounce, allowing the Reds to stretch their points advantage at the top of the table to nine, although their near- neighbours still have four games in hand.
Not surprisingly after the epic 5-3 win at Ammanford the previous week, the visitors named the same starting line-up, the only changes being on the bench with Rhys Powell returning after a one match suspension, while Steve Stone was also included.
On a heavy pitch, two decent early chances fell to the home side, but both Craig Roberts and Rhys Williams failed to take advantage.
They were made to pay for these lapses when their opponents struck twice within a four minute spell, the first coming courtesy of a Mark Napieralla clearance which was misjudged by a Cwm defender, allowing Owens to gain possession before beating keeper Gavin Rees inside his near post in the 14th minute.
Luke Jones then got his first four minutes later, doing well to win a tussle for the ball to stab his attempt goalwards where it took a deflection off Lewis Bowden on its way past Rees.
The visitors were well in control, and Rees did well to deny Owens with a good block in the box when Steve Berry set up the opportunity.
Cwm were struggling to get a foothold in proceedings, although Peter Scammell in the Reds` goal was called upon to keep out at full stretch a free kick by Thomas Holder from just outside the box when Williams was fouled.
When the Reds countered, Owens was thwarted again, this time by Joshua Sweeney with a saving tackle as he was about to pull the trigger.
On the stroke of half time, the home goal survived another scare with Lee Bevan seeing his effort scrambled clear when he connected with a Lewis free kick into the goalmouth.
The same scenario continued when the second half commenced, with Rees called into early action by saving at the feet of Owens when he pursued a ball into the area Thomas, but he was beaten for a third time after 53 minutes when Bruno Forkuoh was brought down in the box by Ashley Holingshead, and Lewis stepped up to duly drive the spot kick emphatically past the keeper.
At the other end, Berry was well positioned to cut out a potentially dangerous cross by Williams when the home side pushed forward, but a three goal burst within seven minutes by the Reds put the contest well and truly out of threach of their opponents.
Luke Jones took full advantage of some sloppy defending to win the ball before lofting it over a helpless Rees into a vacant goal on 61 minutes, and completed his hat trick four minutes later when Lewis laid on the chance which he finished off in some
With the game virtually won, the visitors made a couple of changes with Jamie Evans and Ross Jones being replaced by Powell and Bartdome Bauza, and within two minutes of this they struck again, with Jones turning provider by finding Owens who made no mistake after 68 minutes.
A rare moment of action came the way of Scammell when he was forced off his line to block Williams when he pursued a through ball by David Cachia.
Rees did well to keep out a snap near post shot by Forkuoh, before on the stroke of time Cwm were reduced to ten men following the dismissal of Holder for a second yellow card.
With referee Mark Hulbert adding on what seemed to be an inordinate amount of stoppage time, Williams missed an open goal when he shot wide with only Scammell to beat, before finally getting a consolation reward in the fifth minute of added time when he found the bottom corner.
An easy win for the Reds who will have far tougher assignments than this before the end of the season, and they will be hoping to maintain the winning sequence with the visit on Saturday to Stebonheath of Tredegar Town. Kick off 2 p.m.
