National restrictions will be enforced from Friday 23rd October at 6pm to help prevent Covid-19 spreading in our communities.
These measures will be in place from 6pm Friday 23 October until the start of Monday 9 November 2020. Following the end of the firebreak, a new set of national rules will be introduced, covering how people can meet and how the public sector and businesses operate.

Primary schools
Primary schools to remain open (other than for the planned half term week).
Restrictions in place
Secondary schools
Secondary schools will re-open after the half-term for children in years seven and eight. Pupils will be able to come in to take exams but other pupils will continue their learning from home for an extra week.

Childcare
Children can continue to access their usual childcare provider, and you can travel to provide, access or receive childcare.

Parks, playgrounds and outdoor gyms
There are no limits on the distance you can travel during exercise, though the nearer you stay to your home, the better. Your exercise should start and finish from your home and you should exercise alone or with a member of your household.

Health services
You can leave your home to access local health services, but you should phone beforehand. Please follow any guidance your local surgery or health service has put in place.

Markets
Llanelli and Carmarthen Indoor Markets have re-opened. The toilets at Llanelli Indoor Market have also re-opened. Carmarthen Indoor Market toilets remain closed in line with social distancing guidelines. Anyone using the toilets will be expected to take heed of advice and signage.
Visitor numbers are restricted and controlled entry and exit systems are in place as well as hand sanitising stations. Please adhere to the new safety guidelines and consider those around you when visiting.

Bulky waste
Bulky waste is waste that you cannot fit into a bin or bag. Examples of bulky waste include beds, carpets, fridges, freezers and wardrobes.
We provide a bulky waste collection and will collect up to three items for £25 from your usual refuse and recycling collection point. It may be quicker to take the items to your nearest recycling centre, free of charge.
There are no concessions for collection of bulky waste, but some organisations will collect good quality items for free.
