Pembrokeshire County Council is required to seek views on its Council Tax Reduction Scheme.
The current scheme will come to an end in March, 2021 and the Authority needs to consult now in order to have the scheme in place by 1st April, 2021.
The scheme is a national one, proposed by the Welsh Government, which has to be adopted by all local authorities in Wales.
Those eligible for the means-tested Council Tax support will continue to receive assistance based on a 100 per cent of their Council Tax liability.
The scheme also includes proposals from Pembrokeshire County Council on:
· backdating of benefit
· extending benefit payments
· the exclusion of war widow and war disablement pensions from calculations
· annual changes to social security benefits, personal allowances, premiums and non-dependent deductions.
The public can give their views by completing the online response form or downloading a hard copy. Both are available at https://haveyoursay.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/
The closing date for responses is Friday, 13th November.
