An initiative to involve the community in a decision relating to the disposal of Solva football ground to allow affordable housing is one of the first projects to be featured on a new Pembrokeshire County Council online engagement portal.
The portal will allow local people and other interested parties to view many of the Council’s engagement and consultation projects in a single place at: https://haveyoursay.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/
A registration facility also allows those who wish to take part in many of the projects to only provide their details once, instead of needing to re-submit for each project they wish to get involved with.
The development of affordable housing in Solva is a joint project by the Solva Community Land Trust (SCLT) and housing association Ateb, to create new homes for the benefit of local people.
Other projects featured on the new online engagement portal include the authority’s Council Tax Reduction Scheme for 2021 -22 and testing of a new customer online ‘My Account’ facility.
Neil Prior, Pembrokeshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Transformation and IT, said: “The launch of this new platform highlights the Council’s continuing commitment to modernising ways in which people can engage with us and have their say.
“We would encourage anyone who is interested in the opportunity to have an input into Council initiatives to take a look at the new site, register their interest and get involved.”
