The world’s most successful celebrity chefs have been revealed in a new report by the personal finance experts at money.co.uk, with Gordon Ramsey topping the list, scoring 98.5/100 on the chef.
Taking a seed list of the top-ranking UK*, European** and foodie influencers***, the Celebrity Chef Credit Report reveals just how hard these chefs are working by scoring them against six career credentials, which include net worth, published cookbooks, Michelin Stars, Social media influence, TV appearances, and TV career length.
Using a weighted ranking system, the study then assigned a score to each chef in the index, revealing the most successful celebrity chefs.

Heston Blumenthal has the most expensive tasting menu in the UK, costing £375 per person for a memorable food experience at The Fat Duck.
Whereas Anne-Sophie Pic has the most expensive tasting dish in Europe costing £290 per person at her Michelin starred restaurant Maison pic.
All 9 of the most expensive tasting menus in the UK and European restaurants would set you back £2,059. With the average tasting menu costing £229.
In comparison, the cheaper alternative attesting menus at the 9 restaurants will set you back £1,107. With the average tasting menu costing £123.
The Most Expensive vs Cheapest Celeb Chef Dishes in the UK, Ranked
Thomasina Miers held the title for the cheapest main course dish at her restaurant chain Wahaca. However, since the report came out the chain has been forced to close due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall now takes the number one spot as the cheapest main course options at River Cottage Kitchen with dishes starting as low as £6.50.
Tom Kerridge offers the most expensive main course options at The Hand & Flowers with a main course costing £67.50.
The average cost of a main course dish in the 9 UK restaurants is £35.10. The most expensive main course dishes in all 9 restaurants would cost £351 and the cheapest main course options in all of the restaurants would cost £177.

The most expensive main course dishes at all five restaurants would set you back €315 and the cheapest main course options would cost €164.30. With the average price of the main course dishes costing €32.86.
The top UK and European Celebrity Chefs With the Most Amount of Restaurants
Jamie Oliver takes the top spot as the celeb chef with the most amount of restaurants to his name. Even though Jamie’s restaurant chain ‘Jamie’s Italian’ has mostly closed down in the UK. The chain is still popular in Norway, Singapore, Brazil, Cyprus, Hungary and India, and Qatar – with 70 restaurants still operating.
The Italian stallion Gino D’Acampo takes the second position with 37 restaurants, followed closely by Gordon Ramsay with 35.
Commenting on the results of the Celebrity Chef Credit Report, Salman Haqqi, personal finance expert at money.co.uk explains how celebrity chefs are cooking up a storm outside of the kitchen: “Celebrity and wealth used to be the exclusive domain of actors, singers, and sports stars, but in recent years there is plenty of cash in cooking because of the increased appetite for food shows.
“As the world’s culinary experts consolidate their TV appearances, recipe books, and expand their brands on social media, it’s fair to say that the top cooks are feasting on the money they are making from their fame.
“The top-ranking UK and European celebrity chefs top have a combined net worth of £969 million. Whether it’s their hypnotising cooking skills or their harsh but entertaining reviews, celebrity foodies are much more than just skilled in the kitchen”.
