Dear Editor,

As we approach a Christmas like no other, your readers may be thinking how they might be able to make a positive difference to the lives of children across Wales. One way they can support the NSPCC to still be here for children and young people, who for Christmas might not be such a good time, is by making a donation to create one of our Letters from Santa, which are also available in Welsh.

We know that on average at least two children in every primary school classroom has suffered some form of abuse. Ordering a Letter from Santa is a lovely way for readers to bring joy to their own family, keeping the magic of Christmas alive, in the knowledge that they’re helping us provide the necessary support to other children.

With Santa’s workshop now open, readers can order a personalised letter for their child, or even their pet, choosing from eight letters including ‘Baby’s First Christmas’ and ‘The Elf Cup Final’, which can be personalised with the child’s name, age and interests.

We suggest a donation of £5 for each letter that can help Childline be here for children whatever their worry. £10 could pay for a practitioner to answer two calls to the NSPCC helpline from an adult worried about a child.

To create your family’s personalised Letter from Santa, visit the NSPCC website.
