Artwork featuring the best entries to Nia Griffith MP’s and Lee Waters MS’s Annual Christmas Card Competition will be on display from tomorrow (Saturday, 12th December) in the St Elli Shopping Centre adding some much-needed cheer to the town during the festive period.

Shoppers will be able to see eye-catching designs from youngsters across the Llanelli constituency including from pupils from Ysgol Llannon, Swiss Valley Primary, Ysgol Y Castell, Ysgol Gymunedol Bancffosfelen, Burry Port Primary and Ysgol Y Felin.

The centrepiece of the exhibition will be the winning designs from Mia Emoka of Ysgol Llannon who won the Infants category and Megan-Lily Killick who picked up the prize for the best Junior entry.

Llanelli MP, Nia Griffith MP, said:

“It has been a pleasure to see that even after all the upheaval of the last few months, so many children taking part in the competition and submitting colourful and optimistic entries.

2020 has been a tough year for many people but we hope that the display will bring a little bit of extra happiness to Llanelli not only to those whose work will feature on it but also to anyone who takes the time to pop along and appreciate the wonderful work of our local young people.”
