Greenpeace Swansea Group volunteers and Gordon Gibson of the Urban Foundry, High St, are celebrating cycle paths in Swansea and calling for less cars and greener spaces for pedestrians and bikes in the city centre, by decorating the Sail Bridge, and presenting Councillor Nick Davies, Swansea Council Champion for Cycling, with a Christmas card reading ‘All I want for Christmas is Clean Air.’
Transport is the UK’s single largest source of greenhouse gas emissions. Greenpeace Swansea Group is calling on the local council and the Government to invest more into walking, cycling and green public transport, rather than new road building.
