The lockdown in Wales has been extended, the current restrictions will be strengthened and schools are likely to be shut until February half term.
First Minister, Mark Drakeford has confirmed this morning that Wales’ lockdown will be extended.
A formal review will take place on 29 January.
All non-essential retail, hospitality venues, licensed premises and leisure facilities must remain closed.
Some measures will be strengthened which means all showrooms must now, also close – They will still be able to operate click and collect arrangements.
Unless cases of coronavirus fall before the next formal review (29 January), school and college students must continue to learn online until the February half term, Welsh Government say.

This means any retailers which allow people to browse and then order for a future date – such as kitchens, bathrooms, furniture and car sales – these listed businesses must close.
The Welsh Government is also having discussions to see if additional restrictions need to be put in place within major supermarkets and retailers – to protect people in store and review what else employers need to do to protect people in the workplace and support people to work from home.

The First Minister is reminding people that in the current lockdown people must:
• Stay at home.
• Work from home if you can.
• Keep a 2m distance from others.
• Wear a face covering in all indoor public places.
• Not meet anyone outside your immediate household or support bubble.
