A new brainteaser from Pandora challenges customers to find the sparkling charm quicker than the current record holder

With the second Beast from the East threatening to cover the UK in snow again this week, Pandora has beaten The Beast to the punch and hidden one of their best-selling sparkling snowflake charms amongst a busy snowstorm, and is challenging the nation to find it in less time than their current record-holder – who found it in just four seconds!

While the average time it takes to find the charm is 22 seconds, the fastest recorded find-time was a crazy four seconds by Olivia Lott of Tunbridge Wells. When asked what her method was, Olivia tells us it is best to take a step back. “There’s a temptation to get up close with the screen to try and find it, but I’ve learnt with practice that the fastest way to find them is to distance yourself from the screen to get a full view of the whole thing. I’ve found this to be particularly effective when something is buried in a brainteaser with a regular pattern, like this one from Pandora, but when there’s a lot going on in the design, it’s best to take a closer look.”

She goes on to say, “I’m a bit addicted to these brainteasers; whenever I see one in the news, I can’t help but drop what I’m doing and give it a go!” which is what the team at Pandora was hoping to hear!  Carly Hunt, Head of Brand Marketing for Pandora UK, responded “we really wanted to bring a little bit of fun and cheer to our customers during this time and give them something to enjoy in the run-up to the Christmas period. We weren’t expecting people to find it so quickly, but well done to Olivia who whizzed through it – she’s obviously a pro at puzzles!”

The longest time it took our testers to find the sparkling charm was 2 mins 15 seconds, but other puzzlers took almost a minute to find the sparkling charm. When asked how they felt about the brainteaser, our testers replied:

“It was (almost) impossible. It was really hard to see anything in that snowstorm, but it was a fun challenge to break up the afternoon” – Chris, 2 mins 5 seconds

“That was harrrrrrrrrd” – Milly, 59 seconds

If you’re still struggling to find it after all the tips, I can reveal the charm is hiding just here:
