Want to help organise events for the local community. This year we will be organising the Morfa Spray & Play grand opening and Community Xmas Festival and Panto

Glanymor & Tyisha History Group

Meet on the first Thursday of every month at Bethania Chapel, New Dock, at 4.30 pm.  If you are interested in local history and want to help preserve the history of this area come along and see for yourself what can be achieved.  Contact Benita 775320

 

Me a Volunteer? – On your bike!

Glanymor and Tyisha Communities First has bikes available for residents to use free of charge but need volunteers to help run the scheme. We are looking for someone who has free time to meet people who want to hire the bikes. All you will need to do is meet them in Bwlch Youth & Community Centre to pass on the bikes and ensure they complete the booking form. For this you will be able to claim travel costs for any expenses incurred AND OFFERED FREE TRAINING AND THE CHANCE TO MEET NEW PEOPLE! To find out more please contact Vicki on 01554 777850 

 

Lakefield Residents & Tenants Association

Lakefield Residents & Tenants Association meets on the second Thursday of the month, at 6.00pm in the Lakefield Hall, and welcomes any new members from the Lakefield area.

 

Old Lodge & Clos Sant Paul Tenants & Residents Association

Old Lodge & Clos Sant Paul Tenants & Residents Association meets on the first Tuesday of the month in Y Hafan complex at 11.00am. This is a new group formed to improve the community of the Old lodge area – including Old Lodge/Llys Y Arthur/Llys Y Felin. The group welcome any new members from these areas.

If you live in Glanymor, Tyisha, Felinfoel, Bigyn 4 or Llwynhendy and would like to talk about volunteering then please contact either Bryony or Chris on 01554 777850.

We Will:

• Talk with you to find out what you want to do
• Find you a volunteering role and give you ongoing support
• Help you get training if that’s what you want and need to do
• Link you in with return to work projects if you are keen to look for a job but would like support to do so.

If you are a good listener, have some time you could volunteer and are willing to work with us to deliver Debt and Benefit support to people who need support in dealing with their financial problems then we would like to hear from you. Contact Bryony or Chris on 01554 777850

 

We Will:

• Help you learn what you need to know to help you people with their Debt and Benefit problems 
• Support and guide you every step of the way
• Volunteers will always work in pairs to support people
• We won’t ask you to support people from the ward in which you live
