Troops Coffee/Bingo

On Monday 16 August at the Royal British Legion Headquarters there is a coffee,bingo and Tombola evening to raise money for the troops fund.Doors open 7pm. Last bingo books 8.20 pm.We have already started to send parcels to the troops in Afghanistan.

Jazz Night

On 11 September there is a Jazz Night at the Ashburnham Hotel, Pembrey for Burry Port Lifeboat.Time 7pm for 7.30pm meal.Dance to Liberty Street Jazzmen untill midnight.Tickets £16.50. each inclusive of meal. Tickets available from Lorna 01554 832164 or Dorothy 832913.

 

Golf Championships

Burry Port Male Choir are performing before the opening ceremony of the Home Championships today at 5.30pm at the Ashburnham Golf club.Entrance free to the three day event.

New choristers of any age are always welcomed to the Burry Port Male Choir who perform for many charitable events both locally and further afield.Younger members are particularly required to keep this Welsh tradition going.If interested in joining and you would like a chorister to collect you to attend the first time please contact the number below.Rehearsals are on Monday (except Bank Holidays) and Thursday evenings from 7-8.45pm usually in the Memorial Hall,Parc y Minos Street,Burry Port.If you feel like joining,are a visitor to the area or would just like to see the choir in action,you are welcome to come along on rehearsal evenings to listen.
