Cancer Information and Support Services ( CISS) is an organization which offers a free service to cancer patients,their carers,relatives and friends.We can offer counselling or emotional support and/or information on a range of cancer related issues,and can work with you in your homes or other suitable venue.Bernadette who works in Carmarthenshire will be available at Burry Port library on Friday 30 July between 2 and 4pm if you would like to pop in for a chat or to make an appointment.If you would prefer to make contact by telephone please ring 01267 679149.

Coffee Bingo Evening
On Monday 2 August there is a Coffee and Bingo evening at the Royal British Legion Headquarters,Burry Port. Cost 40p to include coffee and biscuits.Last bingo books 8.20pm.

Burry Port Male Choir
The choir will be taking part in an outdoor service at St Non’s Church,Llanon on Sunday 1st August at 5.30pm.

RBL National Bowls Champions
Burry Port & Pembrey British Legion branch members Phil Payne,Oliver Stephens,Idwal Roberts,Byron Wilkins & Adrian Payne were successful in representing the RBL Welsh regions in the recent 2010 RBL National Bowls Finals which was held over a two day period at Melton Mowbray,Leicester and achieving honours for their local branch.

National Pairs Shield: Oliver & Phil the defending champions won the title for the third consecutive year.This achievement qualifies for the National Pairs shield to have a permanent home at the Burry Port & Pembrey RBL branch.
National Fours/Rink Cup: Oliver/ Idwal/Byron & skip Adrian defeated East England in the final winning by 1 shot
