A Love Llanelli campaign has been launched to promote the town centre, support traders and encourage more people to shop and visit. The brand aims to portray the passion and welcome that visitors to the town get.
The campaign is part of ongoing work to support town centre businesses.
Carmarthenshire County Council, the Llanelli Star and St Elli Centre and traders are working in partnership on the campaign. The intention is to involve more traders, the Town Centre Action Group, Chamber of Trade and Llanelli Town Council.
The campaign was officially launched on Thursday, July 29th. It will run for the next two years.
A new logo and branding has been designed for the campaign. “Love Llanelli†is the theme, with the USP for the town as “A Warm Welsh Welcomeâ€. Banners with the new logo and branding are on display at four key points in and around the town. A new map of the town centre, and one of the market have been produced and distributed on the launch day with copies being made available at key sites outside the town centre. Other promotional material, bags and T shirts have also been distributed. Many positive comments have been received from traders and shoppers with positive coverage on HTV Wales News.
Future events like the forthcoming Love Llanelli Family Fun Day 4th September, Christmas Carnival 19th November, Christmas Fun Day, 20th November and Reindeer Parade 21st November will use and promote the logo and include Heart Trail Competitions through the town and promotional items.
