Llanelli’s Multicultural Drop In Centre opened for business on Thursday 26th .The centre will be open every Thursday from 12pm-2pm in Lakefield Hall, Lakefield Road Llanelli. The project is being run in partnership with groups and organisations in the area . ”Everybody is welcome to drop in” said Llanelli’s Multicultural Network Project Officer, Paolo Piana. He went to say,” the idea of the Drop in Centre is that we can provide a number of services to our community under one roof. We are working with the Emergency services, Neighbour hood Policing team, health care and screening services, back-to work and employment advisors, Debt and Benefit advice, Menter Cwm Gwendraeth and many others. More groups will be joining over the coming weeks.

Anybody can drop in for a chat and a cuppa , or join our friendly FAN (friends and neighbours) conversation group. We will soon be starting a series of free English classes and offer other educational classes as well.

By working in close partnership, groups like the Llanelli Multicultural Network(LMCN)  and Ethnic Minorities Help Association (EHMA)  can achieve  a “joined-up” comprehensive  service to our community.

We are all working towards the possibility of a permanent Multicultural Centre in Llanelli, this will help us gauge the interest in the idea.

If you would like to find out more, The Drop in Centre is open At Lakefield Hall every Thursday from 12-2pm.Fore more details please call Multicultural Network Project officer Paolo Piana on 01554-785952 or email paolo.piana@cavs.org.uk
