THERAPEUTIC COMMUNICATION SKILLS

This course is inspired by Kids Company and the creative/relational approaches applied there, as well as the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education which provide an Integrated Arts Approach to working with adults, children and families.   The theory, philosophy and practice of both Kids Company and IATE have been adapted and applied to enable people who work with children to have access to some of the foundational principles of creative and therapeutic communication.  Reflective Journals are central to this teaching and learning approach where participants can express and contain their emotional and imaginative process in spontaneous and creative ways.
