Lifeboat Christmas Shop

The Lifeboat shop will be opening tomorrow. Open Thursdays and Fridays 10am to 4pm and Saturdays  10am to 12noon.Watch out for the wooden Life boatmen sign showing the way. We are in the Congregational Church Vestry, Memorial Square, arc-y-Minos Street.

The Burry Port and Pembrey U3A group meetings in November include today Wednesday the business, theatre and excursion group coffee morning is at 11am. The main monthly meeting on Monday 15 at 2.15pm has a talk on the Rebecca Riots in Llanelli. Tuesday 16 at 10.30am is the local history group with Randolph Jenkins. Tuesday 16 and 23 are the short walks for details contact Jill Davies on 834061. Monday 22 the drama group meet at 2.15pm.There is Welsh every Friday afternoon at 2.15pm.Meetings usually take place in the Memorial Hall annexe, except the walking groups, and new members will be most welcome. Stamps for Charity

Thank you to everyone who has sent me used postage stamps or put them in collection boxes in Burry Port, Llanelli and Carmarthen. Please keep them coming. Stamps are for various charities mainly Marie Curie Cancer Care and animal charities. These can be sent, or taken, to Stamps For Charity at 44 Colby Road, Burry Port,SA16 0RH.There are bins for stamps in various collection points around Burry Port and Llanelli.

 

Christmas Fayre Coffee Evening

The Ladies Fundraising Section of Burry Port Male Choir are holding their usual Christmas Fayre and Coffee Evening on Friday 26 November at 6.30pm in the Memorial Hallmark y Minos Street, Burry Port. There will be stalls selling homemade cakes, pickles, toiletries, toys, jewellery and accessories, books and bric-a-brac. There will be various raffles to be drawn on the night. Tickets at £1 each include tea, coffee or squash and biscuits plus the added attraction of informal entertainment by the Burry Port Male Choir. All funds go towards the running of the choir which is a registered charity.
