Coffee Morning

This is hosted by Seion chapel on Saturday 20 November at 10am in the Memorial Hall, Burry Portl. £1 entry to include tea or coffee. Children free. There will be numerous stalls and raffle. Everyone welcome

 

Christmas Parade

On 25 November the Christmas Parade in Pembrey will start at 5pm from the square towards the school where the lights on the tree will be switched on. There will be loads of activities in the school including Santa’s grotto.

 

Lifeboat Christmas Shop

The Lifeboat shop will be opening tomorrow. Open Thursdays and Fridays 10am to 4pm and Saturdays

10am to 12noon.Watch out for the wooden Lifeboatmen sign showing the way. We are in the Congregational Church Vestry, Memorial Square, Parc-y-Minos Street.

 

Volunteers Needed

This is for the tea bar at Plas-y-Mor complex, Burry Port for Mondays or Thursdays from 9.30-11am, days to suit. Contact Pauline on 01554 835514.

 

Stamps for Charity

Thank you to everyone who has sent me used postage stamps or put them in collection boxes in Burry Port, Llanelli and Carmarthen. Please keep them coming. Stamps are for various charities mainly Marie Curie Cancer Care and animal charities. These can be sent, or taken, to Stamps For Charity at 44 Colby Road, Burry Port,SA16 0RH.There are bins for stamps in various collection points around Burry Port and Llanelli.

 

British Legion Entertainment

On Monday 22 November a Coffee and Bingo evening. Entrance 40p members and guests. Bingo last books 8.20pm.On Saturday 20 November the Sound of the Sixties show by JPM Duo. Doors open 7pm.Entrance for members and guests £3.Bingo last books 7.50pm.Legion subscriptions due will continue to be accepted.

 

Christmas Fayre Coffee Evening

The Ladies Fundraising Section of Burry Port Male Choir are holding their usual Christmas Fayre and Coffee Evening on Friday 26 November at 6.30pm in the Memorial Hall, Parc y Minos Street, Burry Port. There will be stalls selling homemade cakes, pickles, toiletries, toys, jewellery and accessories, books and bric-a-brac. There will be various raffles to be drawn on the night. Tickets at £1 each include tea, coffee or squash and biscuits plus the added attraction of informal entertainment by the Burry Port Male Choir. All funds go towards the running of the choir which is a registered charity.
